This was my first time at the restaurant. The atmosphere is suitable for a romantic evening. Dim lighting, nice decor. Only thing I felt could be improved is the layout of the 2 persons table. 3 tables were placed too close togethrt and I happened to be in the middle table. Food wise I was impressed with the scallop starter and the main courses of steak and fish. Service was always discreet and good. Food was served at a good pace until dessert where we waited a good 20-30 mins and had to ask 2 different waitstaff to check. One waitstaff even thought our dessert had been served already. Other than those hiccups overall a good experience.

This meal was a little bit of a mixture of the sublime and the ridiculous. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by Martin, one of the keenest waiters I've ever seen. Martin told us that he would be our waiter tonight and if there was anything he could get us, he would love to help us out. He then took our names (an interesting personal touch) and shook us all warmly by the hand (ditto) before disappearing, not to be seen again until much later in the evening when he served the table next to ours and didn't even acknowledge our existence. We were eventually served in the meantime by a waitress, and service was absolutely fine, though the whole Martin thing was a bit strange. The food was fantastic, as expected. Last time we did Restaurant Week at the Grill Room the antipasti was sorely lacking meat; this time they laid on some cold cuts alongside the wonderful and varied selection of breads, vegetables, and relishes. While the cuts themselves were limited to either salami or ham, it definitely made choosing the antipasti buffet well worth it. The other appetisers were also brilliant, the scallops with caviar being a particular highlight. While the menu advertised a ribeye steak, we were given sirloin - however, it was still an excellent steak and cooked perfectly to order. Dessert, however, was somewhat disappointing - 3 of the 4 diners chose the mango and mint dessert as it was highlighted as a speciality of the restaurant, but it ended up being disappointingly bland. Overall though, it was an extremely tasty dinner and everybody left very satisfied.

Very nice environment and great food quality! I went there to have lunch and the service was outstanding! Highly recommended!!!
