Stroom is the place where you can truly be yourself. On the ground floor you can find the colourful bar, where hotel guests, local residents and other inhabitants of Rotterdam drink, eat and talk. An informal, warm environment in which design is combined with the robust architecture of this former electricity-generating plant. A large screen allows you to see our chefs at work, and above the bar, 360 mirrors allow you to keep an eye on everything that is going on. Hip, business like, creative, a mix of young and old do their thing in Stroom.
In short: drinking, seeing, meeting, eating, becoming lost in thought, waking up and being revitalised!
Private drinking & dining? If you come with a group and wish to sit separately, you can hire the entresol and the lounge2twintig. Ideal for a party, high tea, drink or meal with a group.

Just one word EXCELLENT. Food tasteful, top service, nice enviroment. This is one of the few resturants that you can remember for being 10 on everything. |

The food being served at Stroom is fair but with too little they can make great improvements not only in terms of taste but also presentation. As starter we had monkfish served in misso which was innovative and tasteful. The main dish had a really well cooked stewed meet however the vegetables and potatoes were poorly seasoned. Finally, as dessert we had creme brullee that, again, with a little more care would taste and look better. The atmosphere is quite nice in a cool decoration. |
