The restaurant Isole di Sicilia, located in the heart of Trastevere - a few steps away from Piazza Trilussa – is a unique magic corner where you can savour typical Sicilian recipes.  Its 4 dining rooms with sun yellow walls, are embellished with bright multicolour hand painted majolica tiles and marvellous Caltagirone ceramics.

The idea of opening this third place, following the two “Siciliainbocca” restaurants located in Prati and Flaminio, originates from a desire to study and reproduce the cuisine of the minor islands.

Here you can savour appetizing specialties such as the “Purpu strascinasale all’Usticenze”(octopus with potatoes and summer lemon), the “Tunnu a’ stimpirata” rolls (smoked tuna filled with figs and pistachios, the  linguine “Du Mammellone”(pasta with grouper and Pachino tomatoes, all enriched with a tasty cheese called “Ubriaco di nero d’Avola”D.O.P.), and finally, a delicious “biancomangiare”  (a caramel dessert with cinnamon).

All dishes are accompanied by a selection of the best wines and “passiti” (dessert wines) produced in the Sicilian minor islands.
