The Roma Hamasei firm has been operating in Italy since 1974. The word ‘Hamasei’ means ‘beautiful beach’ in Japanese, a names chosen to stress the freshness and quality of the fish which is served to the faithful clientele of this high standard Japanese restaurant.

In the last five years, this restaurant has become very popular also among Italians, who have learned to appreciate and love the delicacies of the Japanese cuisine, like  sashimi (mixed raw fish fillets) and sushi (fish fllets with rice).

It can be stated that Hamasei is the only restaurant in Italy with authentic Japanese cuisine and Japanese cooks all coming from the mother firm established in Tokio about 70 years ago. The mother firm in Tokio, famous all over Japan as well as abroad, is made up of 3 building of five floors each, with garden and ‘Japanese’ rooms on each floor.
