The All'Oro restaurant, which is located in the heart of the Roman neighbourhood Parioli, open only since a few months, has already received the attention of the Roman gourmets. This small gem, big 28 seats, is in the capable hands of Chef Riccardo Di Giacinto who together with his fiancée Ramona and her mother is nurturing it and making it quickly the talk of the town. Riccardo has worked many years with the most important Chef's in Europe (Ferran Adrià, Marco Pierre White, Don Alfonso Iaccarino) he is obsessed with quality and love's to use spices and fresh herbs.

A total of 16 dishes you will find on the menu. The dishes change frequently keeping pace with the season and the availability of the basic foodstuff. Please have a look at the menu for the present culinary creations.

The sweets and the bread are home made. To get acquainted with their cuisine, creativity and hospitality they have created a fixed menu which exalts the region of Rome and Lazio by using the basic foodstuffs available from it. They look forward to seeing you soon ………

Having read the reviews on this site, I decided to book a table at All’oro. What a treat! This is the real deal, and serves Roman / Italian gourmet food in an intimate restaurant setting in a quiet residential neighbourhood of Rome. Our hosts for the evening were very friendly, probably given we were the only two in for most of the night (August holiday had just started in Rome), and we received a very warm welcome and great service all night. We talked at length about food with both the maitre and the chef. We were not surprised to hear that the chef had trained with some of Europe’s great gourmet chefs, as that was indeed the style of the food on offer. It was all locally nuanced, presented well, and very tasty! We went for the 5 course tasting menu. One of the highlights of the evening was actually the bottle of dry, full-bodied white Italian wine from Sicily that the maitre chose for us for the money, it was a really first rate bottle of wine. The amuse bouche of pea crème, fried cuttle fish with a coconut foam was delicious as was the bread and gastronomic olive oil. The tune tartare with olive tapenade and the dried cod and potato were both similarly tasty. Our main of mascarpone filled ravioli with duck was delicious. The only slight let down was the very nice crème brule…it was nicely cooked, just not in keeping with the rest of the food. Later on, a famous Italian wine correspondent came in with a couple of bottles of very expensive wine to have along with his food that’s the kind of place it is. For the money, it was good value far, far better value than the other expensive meal we had in Rome, that at the Terrazza dell'Eden (see my other review), although this one was still 100 Euros behind.
