In the heart of Geneva’s old town, on one of the most picturesque squares with buildings dating back to the 15th and the 16th century, you will find Au Carnivore.
Downstairs in the cosy restaurant, beneath the hand carved wooden beams along the ceiling you feel the atmosphere of a past era.
The menu changes three times a year according to the availability of seasonal products and offers grilled meat and fish as well as vegetarian dishes.
Au Carnivore is renowned in the area for its traditional Lyonnais cuisine.
In summer you can sit comfortably on the large terrace along the side of Place du Bourg-de-Four and feel yourself being part of Geneva’s great history.
If you mention DiningCity to your waiter, you will be kindly offered a coffee to finish off your meal.

Your overall appreciation: 9 | Atmosphere: 8 | Service: 7 | Food originality: 6 | Food quality: 9 Went here for a work dinner with 9 colleagues. The food was excellent for all of us. They keep the old mantra "keep it simple and do it well", which for me is the best way. The waitress we had refused to speak English initially but when we started ordering the more expensive wines, she seemed to know all the intricacies of the language! |

The service was very friendly, the choices on the menu were heavenly for carnivores, and the ambiance of an ancient tavern tickled the imagination. All this at a reasonable price AND with easy parking at St. Antoine (I was told all this beforehand but I had some doubts) makes this a place I'm definitely going back to again! |
