From main road Franschhoek, you enter the SalmonBar through the Yard. Stylish comfortable couches, a cozy, busy restaurant and kitchen and a leafy courtyard are all options for seating to enjoy the freshest local trout, wonderful smoked salmon, simply grilled fresh line fish or tasty seafood on the menu. Free range eggs and freshly baked bread are the perfect breakfast ingredients and we are famous for our freshly roasted coffee. Japanese tapas with pink bubbly are a favourite with locals after 4pm. Dinner is light, casual and delicious. The SalmonBar deli supplies locals and visitors to Franschhoek with fresh and smoked salmon and trout from Three Streams smokehouse in the valley. We offer homemade complementary sauces and relishes as well as award winning cheeses and preserves. Local olives and olive oils complete the range of products passionately hand made in the Franschhoek Valley. We bake a range of all butter pastries and sour dough and whole-wheat breads every morning. Our delicious little cakes, tarts, muffins and sandwiches are available to enjoy in the restaurant or at home. We are proud of knowing where all our quality ingredients come from. We source locally and create and sell provenance brands - Royale Highlands trout from Lesotho ; Richard's meats cured from pigs raised in the Hemel and Aarde valley; Award winning Dalewood cheeses are hand crafted from milk from pasture fed cows and Didi's free range eggs are only available when it’s not too hot for the hens to lay!
