Backsberg

​Our restaurant is set in a beautiful country garden where we serve lunch outdoors if the weather is favourable and indoors beside a roaring fire in the chilly months.
We have a varied a la carte menu that features traditional South African home-style meals, all made with fresh ingredients and our tried-and-trusted recipes. Our wine list offers all the Backsberg favourites as well as some special wines only available at the farm. Your kids will feel at home too, with a jungle gym in the garden and loads of space to play.
Our traditional lamb on the spit is available every Saturday and Sunday during summer, and just on Sundays during the winter months. We can serve lamb on the spit during the week on special request.  On the weekend the spit is served with a buffet of salads, veggies and Linda’s famous roast potatoes.
Every Sunday we have a 3 course set menu priced at R190 per person which includes a starter, the lamb on the spit with a buffet of salads and a decadent desert. Guy Feldman will also be there to provide live guitar music and set the scene for a long lazy afternoon in the winelands.
Please note that our restaurant is available to cater for private parties and business functions. The lamb on the spit is also available for special occasions of 10 or more people.
