71 Bras Basah Road #01-02 Singapore Art Museum
Located near the heart of Singapore’s largest collection of Southeast Asian artwork, Trattoria Lafiandra is known for its authentic Italian cuisine.
The name is Trattoria Lafiandra. Owned by Chef Cataldo and Brenda Lafiandra.Trattoria Lafiandra al Museo is a charming addition to the 19th century building, with its warm-hued interiors set aglow by chandeliers and scenes of Italy hand-painted on walls.
At Trattoria Lafiandra, which they started in 2003, Brenda, handles the front of house, while Cataldo cooks every dish in the kitchen. With an entensive selection of antipasti, homemade pasta, risotto and main courses, the 42 seater trattoria offers a usually wide section of typically Italian fare. Says Cataldo, “I believe that everything should be cooked a la minute. There is no such thing as a quick meal here at my trattoria.”
Their food speaks for itself, and as far as comforting flavours and good value are concerned, it speaks volumes.
Food was very good value. The little extras made for a very pleasant experience, but I guess this is because it's restaurant week? They were also very flexible when I requested for ala carte for my 5-year-old.

Overall the experience was pleasant. The waiter who served us was chatty and friendly, made us feel welcome. Ambience of the restaurant was nice too. Food was overall fine, had a strong home-cooked feeling. Nice place for small gatherings for family and friends or a romantic candle-light dinner with the special one. One plus point is that it is very conveniently located next to the circle line station Bras Basah.

Great presentation of food but taste and quality of the mains were disappointing. The seabass was too dry and the aglio was not sufficiently flavorful
