My date and I were there on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. It was rather packed (due to the CBD lunch crowd) but it wasn't too noisy or anything. I had read reviews stating the high noise level, and that was my concern when I had made the booking. However, I found that the noise level was acceptable, the restaurant was buzzing with activity rather than the place being too noisy. The food was very well prepared - portions were of the right size, presentation was impressive and the taste was fantastic. We were very satisfied with our meal. Service was impeccable as well - the waitress was quick to take our order, quick to clear our plates and fill our glasses, and constantly returned to check on us (whether the food was to our liking etc). My date and I had a very enjoyable lunch.

My brother and I were greeted by loud music and chattering sound when we stepped into the restaurant. The place was packed with people who wanted to chill over a glass of beer (or mocktail since they had promotion) after a day of work. If you are looking for a restaurant to have a good catch up session with your companion over food, this may not be a suitable place for you. Presentation of food was great, especially the appetizer, smoked salmon. We both liked the duck leg with red wine, meat was tender and nicely done. Braised pig trotter stuffed with mushroom and chicken mousse was a little bit too stodgy for me but the mashed potato and sauteed mushroom that came with the main dish were great. Both the chocolate mousse and panna cotta were good, but there are definitely better ones out there. Service wise, waitress was pretty prompt in showing us our table, taking order and serving the food. Absolutely no complaint on that.

The food was good, interesting, but perhaps just a little lacking in flavor. Nothing really stood out. Service was prompt. Atmosphere was rather dull, but we were there for quite a late lunch so not many people left. The bar area looked nice and I can imagine it being quite fun for the after-work crowd. It was very cold in the restaurant, and there were a few little bugs buzzing around, even though we were inside - they obviously didn't mind the low temperature!

I chanced upon The Exchange on the Restaurant Week website and decided to give it a try with my 3 of my friends. The menu looks good, and we ordered every different dish to try. However, it was quite a disappointment as the food were not to our liking. None of us finished or try to finish our main course. The pig trotters had a very pungent smell after swallowing and it tasted gluey. The other dish I ordered was seafood risotto. The seafood does not taste fresh as it comes with an overwhelming fishy smell and turns out to be too much of a flavour for a risotto. But I would say the entree dishes and desserts were not bad and creative. As for its service, we felt it was so-so. I asked for the food menu twice and the drinks menu but the waitresses took very long to bring it to us. I guess after this experience, we are less likely to return to The Exchange.
