A perfect location for an early dinner before hitting the town. The staff are relaxed and happy to chat. The Restaurant week's menu was of mixed cuisines and had its highs and lows. The scallop starter was outstanding and very memorable, the steak lovely, perfectly cooked. My partner went with the pork as a main dish and found a couple of unchewable gristle bits, but liked the dish otherwise. Neither of us is a lemon desserts lover but couldn't see anything wrong with the tart. We will come back as overall we enjoyed the experience.

Table at 7 is a pretty small establishment and i love the cosy vibe there. The service was good. They refilled our glasses of water constantly and there was free flow of bread as well. Though they were supposed to stick with just the dinner menu for SG restaurant week, they accepted our side order of truffle fries after checking. Starter Carpaccio of Hokkaido Sea Scallop, Light Truffle Soy dressing, Herb Mesclun The scallops were so fresh and sweet and yummy! Entrée Char-grilled Crab and Prawn Pepes Wrapped in Banana Leaf This was spicy and i loved it! It was perfectly done in my eyes but the gals thought that the spiciness overwhelmed everything. Main Course Pan-seared Black Angus Tenderloin with Caramelised Shallot and Porcini Mash, Glazed Spring Vegetable, Port Reduction We all had the tenderloin and boy was it good. Had it medium well and it was tender, juicy and very tasty. *still salivating* =p Dessert Caramelised Lemon and Cream Cheese Tart with Fresh Strawberry The dessert was good!! Really into lemony dessert recently. The lemon and cream cheese went very well and the crust was flaky thus special. We had a choice of coffee/ tea too and our side of truffle fries as well. The truffle fries were pretty decent. All in all, Table at 7 is a place i will return to for a good meal. Till the next time =)

My family and I had dinner at Buyan on Saturday 23 March 2013 for the Amex restaurant week promotion. The service was superb and the food even better. The service manager, Jaime was excellent. He recommended several dishes whioch turned out to be spot on. His recommendation of the entree, a freshly baked cheese bread called Khachapuri was inspired. When the main courses came before Khachapuri was served, he spotted this and sent the main courses back to the kitchen. Two thumbs up for great service. I would definitely go back to Buyan again.
