The portion size was ok and it was good that we were served instead of having to wait at the stations for our food. Spread could be more though. Felt that stations were more limited. I was charged their usual price and not the Restaurant Week price. I find that strange as there would not be any need to book through Restaurant week site then. Diners should have been informed of the different pricing before we confirmed booking on the site.

Went for lunch. When it came to billing, staff, ie both waiter then manager, claimed that Singapore Restaurant Week, is only used as advertisement for them and does not actually state price of the lunch, which is why they were going to charge us their "special" rate of $33 (which actually is their regular walk-in rate - I saw that on their big banners in and outside the hotel). Shadiness started when we asked for the bill and the waiter said with the credit card, there was a 10% discount. Then when he came back with the bill and I saw that the bill was not the SRW price, he amended what he said and said there was a 20% discount with the credit card, and so he went off again and came back with a lower price, which was still higher than the SRW price. I told him the SRW price is supposed to be $25 and he claimed that SRW does not state price and was only used like an advertisement. When I found that lie unacceptable and told him the price is clearly stated on SRW website, he said he'll call the manager. The manager came and repeated what the waiter had said - that SRW is only used as an advertisement for them and it was up to the restaurant to set the price. But they have a "special" price just for SRW customers (as I've recounted above). He also cunningly produced a print-out of some page he claimed is the SRW website. I did see a header of "Singapore Restaurant Week" at the top of the page but nothing else, and it was totally different from the SRW website and of course it didn't show the price (no surprise). When I said what happens when I go to the website and can show them the price clearly stated, then he finally relented and said although their "system did not allow” for the $25 charge, he will try to amend the bill. Then actually asked me whether is it $25++ or nett. I said I believe that's up to the restaurant. Since we went on the last day, it is quite unbelievable that after an entire week of SRW, they did not have any knowledge of SRW pricing and how SRW works. The entire experience has left a very negative impression of the honesty and integrity of not just the restaurant but the hotel also, especially since the manager, an executive staff, was also involved in this shadiness.

At first I thought that it would be an ala cart set court however it turns out that we are having a buffet. It was disappointing at first but after we started to dig in on the buffet, They are satisfying especially the Claypot selection. It is true that this buffet concentrate on Asian selection but they are authentic Singapore Asian Selection which is rare in Hotel Buffet. Best of all, Most of the buffet menu will be served to your table. The service was wonderful and for price given.. worth every penny!
