36 Purvis Street
Modern French Cuisine takes centre stage in this classy fine dining restaurant which was opened by award-wining Chef Gunther Hubrechsen.
Residing at the swanky Purvis Street, Gunther's bring about sophisticated French fare to the chic fine dining scene. The meticulously-crafted restaurant, whose name yields the personality of Gunther himself, the man behind this establishment, depicts the realization of a dream that he has over the years- that is a place to call his home.
With a list of signature dishes and more than 350 labels of wine have been carefully selected in pairing with Chef Gunther's creations to complete the diner's gastronomic experience.
I had tried to change my reservation for 2 to 3, and originally this was not possible. However, a day before the scheduled date, Gunther's called and suggested a later timing which would accomodate 3pax. At first I still maintained the reservation for 2 pax albeit at the suggested later timing, however when I was at the restaurant itself, my 3rd friend could make it after all and Gunther's graciously allowed for it. All 3 of us were awed by the food, every course was very very good. It being my birthday, Gunther's also gave us a free iced dessert with the words Happy Birthday. Will definitely return to Gunther's

Hi There, We enjoyed ourselves very much with the amazing food experience. Thank you Restaurant Week! Upon walking into the restaurant, we smell the truffle lingering in the air making us excited about the food! We have to wait for our turn to be served. The waiting area is slightly on the small side, but I believe it is not meant to let people to wait for long. After the waiter sat us down at the private room area (I believe), the room has a simple black decoration, for me, less is more. The only thing that can be improved on, probably some instrumental music will help to enjoy the lunch more. Other than that, the place is great. We ordered 4 appetizers, all are good! The Foie Gras is the best we had, it melts in our mouth and the crunch from the other ingredients, the taste is heavenly. Main dish was the Roasted Duck Breast, juicy, tender and tasty. All the sauces were good and sides are good mix with the duck. Desserts. Lemon Souffle, so soft and fluffy, good mix between the chocolate chip and the fluffy Lemon Souffle. End off the meal with Petit Four + Coffee/Tea, getting us ready for the challenge for the rest of the day. Coffee & tea are great, petit four are good too! We will go to Gunther's again :) Thank you Gunther's & Restaurant Week to make this happen.
