At Il Sanlorenzo  we offer a cuisine that aims a heightening the natural flavours of the raw ingredients, and to this purpose we use simple cooking methods and short cooking times. Besides our daily selection of raw food, our menu features a variety of marinated dishes prepared under the skillful direction of Enrico Pierri, assisted by chef Tommaso Maddalena.

We love to think that whilst in the womb we lived in a liquid environment. So we have something in common with acquatic creatures, it is in our DNA,  and we are strongly attracted by the scent of sea. That fresh sea smell is exactly what we love to offer our clients through our daily fish specialties.

The restaurant, designed by the Brasilian architect Andrea Moraes, offers various dining areas: you can have an aperitif or a quick meal at the  bar counter by the open kitchen, or comfortably sit in one of our elegant, bright dining rooms or- for a more intimate dinner- choose the cellar dining area, just upon the  old foundations of Pompeius’ theatre. During summertime you can also enjoy eating outside in our outdoor dining area on Via dei Chiavari.
