Checchino dal 1887

Restaurant Checchino which has been run by the Mariani family since 1887 and is located in the Testaccio area offers its clients the typical Roman cuisine through original family recipes accompanied by great wines from the Lazio region.

On the wine list you will find a selection of more than 450 types of wines from wineries in Italy,   France, California, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, Chile, New Zealand and Australia. It will be mainly red wines from the areas listed above since a red wine will be the better choice to accompany the Roman cuisine.

The Enomatic, a special container which stores wines at the correct temperature and in an inert environment will allow the costumer to try top wines by the glass. The restaurants list of distilled liquors offers a large Italian selection together with excellent whiskeys, cognacs, Calvados, Calvados, Bas Armagnac and rum. Further Checchino boasts a cheese trolley with more than 20 varieties.
