Restaurant Café Romano

Cafè romano, the exclusive restaurant of the prestigious Hotel d’Inghilterra, is located in via Borgognona - described by the Los Angeles Times as ‘the fashion street par excellence’ - a few steps away from the Spanish Steps.

This place is ideal for lunch or dinner, but also for an elegant snack or drink, or a gastronomy tour through the authentic Mediterranean cuisine of the Parthenopean chef Antonio Vitale, who has a long work experience in luxury hotels and Michelin starred restaurants. A variety of menu options are available including “Chef’s suggestions”,  a weekly menu (updated weekly), a light menu for lunch and a richer Mediterranean menu for dinner.

Chef Antonio Vitale was born in Cava de’Tirreni (Sa) in 1980 and started his cooking career working in two different Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy:  Locanda Solarola, in Castel Guelfo (Bo), a two-Michelin star restaurant, and La Voglia Matta  in Fusignano, one Michelin star. In 2004 he joined the team of Il Cipriani restaurant of Lapa Palace hotel in Lisboa; in 2005 he worked at  Hotel Caruso in Ravello during the start-up phase of the hotel and later on joined the Hilton hotel in Venice as Chef of Aromi restaurant. He then continued his career in Malta working at Palazzo Parisio restaurant and finally joined the Hotel d’Inghilterra in Rome.
