This is always a very special experience for us - as it's not an inexpensive meal out, we go there only once a year: on our wedding anniversary which is two days before Valentine's Day. There is no faulting the dedicated service, atmosphere, or wonderful standard of food here. While the menu is small, it has something for everyone. Every course is accompanied by special touches on the plate, and one is almost reluctant to start eating as it will "destroy" the picture before one! The tables themselves are huge - a "table for two" could easily seat eight. The art works and antiques everywhere are beautiful.
So far we have always been there for an evening meal, but have sworn that we'd go during the day next time as the gardens are no doubt just as stunning as the rest.
