We were the first customers of the evening at 1815. Food was excellent- you could tell it was high quality and justified the price. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the tableware good quality. Staff were friendly and generally anticipated our needs.
The atmosphere is marked down a little purely because tables are very very close together- so much so that had the table next to us been occupied, I would have felt I was sharing a table.
I imagine the restaurant would be very very noisy when full.
This is of course fairly typical of many places in Hong Kong and is not really a criticism.
Overall an excellent meal.
Both mezzes were excellent especially the pastry of the pumpkin manti and the crispiness of the coating of the chicken. Chicken was still soft and juicy. Pumpkin had good combination of cheese made delicious. Both main dish chicken skewlets with saffron were just grilled on time but maybe personal preferrence that I disliked the seasoning. The lamb cutlets were indeed fresh and juicy with feta cheese sauce and shredded vegetable which I liked most.
Service was good with frequent attention.
Tables were too close that waiter always shaking my back of the chair when passed across.
Overall Olive is worth to visit again of its creative and tasty dishes.
