In the eighties Restaurant Bangkok was the second Thai restaurant to open its doors in Amsterdam. Founded by Josephine Delhaye-Hooijman and her husband Jan Hooijman. Josephine loved cooking and had been taught Thai cuisine by her mother from an early age. Nowadays the next generation of the Delhaye family took over the running of the Thai Restaurant Bangkok, with Jason following in the footsteps of his aunt and uncle. Our cook, the lovely Miss Poosaithong Duangduan (Poo), has been with us for over 18 years and was trained by Josephine. A couple of years ago our kitchen team was extended with Poo’s family members from Thailand and Poo has taught them how to prepare our famous fried rice, shrimp with garlic and pepper, chicken cashew and fish in tamarind sauce. We get a weekly supply of fresh herbs delivered from Thailand and daily fresh vegetables, fish and meat (the majority is halal, certificates can be provided).
The food was so so
Heerlijk gegeten.
Ruim voldoende. Je zit echt vol na 3 gangen.
De soep is voortreffelijk! (kippensoep met kokos, traditioneel Thais recept)
Zeker aan te bevelen.
