The Taj Pavillion is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in Beijing. The restaurant at China World was established in October 1998. The Taj Pavillion serves authentic Indian cuisine, mainly north indian but also offers some south indian dishes. Among the popular dishes are samosa, palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, mutton biryani and mango lassi. 

The restaurant has won many awards like Best Foreign Restaurant in Beijing in 2004, Best Service in 2004 and Best Indian Restaurant annually for 2004 to 2008 in the Readers Restaurant awards organized by That's Beijing Magazine.
