Le Quai is embedded in a quiet two-story building at the southeast corner of Workers Stadium in Beijing. In Chinese, it’s called You Jing Ge, which means a lustrous pavilion of gold. The building is coated with white walls and floor-to-ceiling windows, which always mislead the guests.
Le Quai, which serves French and Chinese fusion dishes, consists of some functional sections. The two-story house contains several Chinese styled boxes that are ornamented with screens and Chinese traditional paintings. There is also an open dining area with a bar, comfortable sofas and floor-to-ceiling glass, which gives the appearance of a stylish lounge.
There is also an outdoor dinning area beside a lake: the alternatively blue and white sun umbrellas, the green lake, the hanging cage where a parrot leisurely stands on one leg. At the nightfall of summer, it is a nice dating place for lovers. |
