An original Indonesian "RIJSTTAFEL" (litterally: Rice-table) prepared in the right way and eaten in the proper manner is a real culinary pleasure.

It consists of dryboiled rice and an indefinite number of sidedishes, which are seasoned or not, sauces and... chicken. Restaurant Sama Sebo is one of the oldest and most famous Indonesian restaurants of The Netherlands.

Our specialty is, ofcource, RIJSTTAFEL. (Most days it is fully booked so prepare your reservation well in advance to avoid disapointment.)

The location is good, food is fine, but the service is horrible. I asked the guy which are not included in the ricetable, so we can try something else and more, but the cold guy just said shrimp. It was obvious he strongly recommended two rice tables to us, rather than one plus some extra dishes. When checking out, i looked around and found that guy is busy with others, since he is the one taking care of me, i supposed i needed to check out with him and give the tips to him as well. But when i nodded to him and made a gesture of signing a check, which as everybody knows means i can pay now. That stupid guy looked at me, shrugging the shoulder, pointing at his customers, which means i am busy now. Holy, of course i know you are busy, i didn't ask you to come immediately. He even muttered when cleaning up my 3 year daughter's table. Maybe he thought a 3 year old should eat as clean as an adult? come on , man, just a few rices....
