I would like to say that we had a wonderful evening at Momo, we were 4 ladies away for the weekend no kids or husbands, we was advised by our hotel that we should go to Momo and give it a try, we arrived and was told that we could have a table but it wasnt quite ready yet. We went to the bar and had a lovley cocktail prepared by a very nice young man from Australia, within 15 mins a english man came to collect us and take us to our table, he explained the menu to us in great detail and said he would be back to answer any questions, he sugested that he would make a menu for us which we jumped at also the wine selection. It was delicous, soft shell crab, yellow tail, some sushi, all very diligently explained to us, the main courses were just as good, fillet of beef, sea bass, and duck, ginger rice and noodles, all washed down with sone very good wines, the pudding was to die for ginger creme brulee and hot chocolate pudding. The service was impeccable which is very hard to find in Amsterdam, nothing was to much trouble and Dan was very attentive to us, all in all a very pleasent evening indeed. The only down side to it was they were incredibly busy, but that didnt effect the service we recieved, well done

I would have to agree with the comments made. I had very high expectations of Momo's but unfortunately they were not met. I could not reserve a table as I was told they were full. We arrived, not greeted by anyone, people were miserable and rude and the restaurant was empty?!?! Such a shame for a great looking bar in a fabulous location. What a waste.

I guess I'm not in the position to make comment on the food, but I do have something to say about the service. We arrived without reservation, waited at the entrance, being seen by several staff but without being greeted. After 5mins waiting, we decided to walk up to the staff. One told us they don't have seats available and adding "we are a very busy restaurant", and another told us to move back to the entrance, kept us another 5mins waiting just to tell us they are fully booked. The first encounter with MoMo is definitely not a pleasant one. The food'd better be really good to lift the overall quality of this restaurant.
