Seasonal dishes from around the world

On the hotel’s ground floor you will find the Okura’s Brasserie Le Camelia, named after a beautiful, delicious fragrant exotic flower - the camelia. The restaurant’s interior exudes the atmosphere of an Art Deco-style Parisian ’brasserie’ , making it an attractive meeting place for all kinds of colourful people, from convention attendees to relaxing shoppers. In addition to the lavish daily breakfast buffet Le Camelia’s kitchen offers a selection of international dishes and a set menu based on seasonal products. The brasserie is not only perfect for informal occasions, but also for business meetings.

Le Camelia Brasserie awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin

On Monday 27 November 2006 Le Camelia Brasserie was awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin. In addition, the Ciel Bleu en Yamazato restaurants continue to be recognized by Michelin by means of one Michelin star each. Hotel Okura Amsterdam’s having received three Michelin awards for three very different kitchens is unique in Europe.

Ronald Oud, Executive Chef of Le Camelia Brasserie, said: “It’s marvellous to get recognized by Michelin like this. Every day, my team and I prepare international seasonal dishes that are all about creativity and products of the highest quality.” <

I enjoyed my dinner at Le Camelia tremendously. The dinner was very nice, but I would have to rate the dessert as exceptional. The wine accompaniment for dinner was fabulous. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Overall it was an outstanding experience. Thank you!

Excellent food: delicious main dish, the lamb was truly melting in the mouth!! And an interesting lavander mousse in dessert. Attentive service although quite absent-minded: we got vegetarian starters we did not ordered (and I can't even say that the restaurant was full). Too bad...
