Throughout the centuries, the Dutch have wandered around the world. The exotic recipes, vegetables, herbs and spices they brought back to their country have influenced their national cookery.
This made the Dutch cuisine something very special.
Our head-chef devised our menu from this rich culinary heritage, giving it a contemporary interpretation. Thus the New Dutch Cuisine was born, using only fresh Dutch products.
The kitchen of d'Vijff Vlieghen prefers to work with organically grown vegetables as much as possible. Our principle is quality. With this creative new approach d'Vijff Vlieghen heralds a new era in Dutch culinary history.

I organized dinner for a small company meeeting and it went very well. The food was excellent! The chefs didn't have to create overly complicated dishes to cover for poor quality - very fresh ingredients and high grade meats were used. I recommend saving room for the cheese platter on the dessert menu, you get the standard goat cheese but they also included some interesting ones, can't remember all of the names but the cumin flavored one stood out. Service was also very good and in general it's a charming and cozy restaurant - a bit dark at times but nice. |

The 'Five Flies' is an amazing restaurant. We had the 4-course 'surprise' menu with the paired wines. Unbelievable food, excellent service and a beautiful, really old building. Perfect. |

The lamb is the best one I've ever had!!. I had a very romantic dinner with my boyfriend in this historical place... people there were great, I strongly recommend it. |

Had a very enjoyable evening here for my friends leaving party. Good food, friendly service and not a bad price for what you got. Only downsides were the lack of choice (2 set menus), however they did cater for food allergy issues and vegitarians. |

We had an enjoyable and delicious meal here last Wednesday night. Four of us went with the Chef's surprise menu, and were not dissappointed at all!
The service was quite slow, however, which marred an otherwise memorable evening.
I am sure I will dine here again next time I am in Holland, and hope the service has improved. |

This is a charmig place with upscale Dutch food. It's got a very old comforting but tasteful decor. Service good and food was outstanding. |
