Despite the nice decor of the place and good location.
The staff is incredibly incompetent...not to mention aggressive...Disrespectful behavior of the staff was not taken seriously by managers...The worst service i have experinced in 5 years of my stay in Amsterdam...NEVER EVER GO there..if u r up to some quality time...willing to pay ONLY for good service and dont wanna feel frightened by doormen...there are plenty of other places:) |

At first look, Rain looks to be hipand trendy. Very Friendly Staff. Service is great quality in comparison to Dutch Standards. We ordered the Chef Tatsting Menu.The creativity of the presentation is great. The food started out wonderful and ended mediocre. At closer look too, the interior is not nearly as impressive as first glance.It would be easy for Rain to fix it with a fe upgrades. If you are coming from a location known for gret places to eat (New York, Paris, Italy, Miami, etc.) you will not be impressed. If you come from a location that is not known for it's dining, then rain will exceed expectations.
Rain os also well known for the Night Scene. Perhaps a later dining reservation followed by the night scene and music woul mak eit a much better overall evening and enjoyable. Stay away from early reservations (7pm)unless you want to be the only one dining. |
