One of Amsterdam’s most remarkable restaurants is on the 23rd floor of the Hotel Okura Amsterdam.
The Ciel Bleu Restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star and, like adjacent Ciel Bleu Bar, offers a panoramic view of Amsterdam’s city centre. The breathtaking view together with the personal hospitality create a unique atmosphere.
The Ciel Bleu Restaurant’s ambitious kitchen staff present ’Cuisine Creative’, which is based on French cuisine and seasonal products and characterized by innovation. The Sommelier’s professionalism and close co-operation with the chef guarantee perfect harmony between wine and food.
The Ciel Bleu Restaurant has two special salons, the ’Salon Panoramique’ and the ’Salon Etoile’. The rooms are perfect for private or business dinners.

Food: 8 | Service: 9 | Decor: 1 As a Londoner staying in Amsterdam for the weekend, I was impressed by the excellent standard of cooking and the good-humoured, knowledgeable service. The sommelier was outstanding, and my friend and I had a memorable taster menu. The decor, however, was hideous - one of the ugliest restaurants I have ever eaten in. Random badly-designed pieces: airport lounge lighting, Blue Peter metal sculptures, strip joint curtains...all were put together without taste, as if waiting in a storeroom for a merciful blaze to destroy them. |
