For many years, Suisse has been known as thé place where you could enjoy an easy drink and a simple meal, and we would like to keep it that way. However, after 8 weeks of rigorously rebuilding and restyling, the restaurant has been entirely improved with preservation of the old character, and with the addition of "Brasserie" there has playfully been made changes with features from Amsterdam and Paris during the roaring twenties. This all, emphasized with the recognizable classic French - Dutch menu. From Salade Nicoise and fresh Oysters and Fish of the Day from the Marqt, to Sauteed Rumpsteak with a Béarnaise Sauce. The atmosphere is warm, masculin and easy, with easy - to upbeat jazz on the background. Unique is the pressence of a fireplace in our "Gentleman's room", where you can enjoy an intimate dinner, or cosy after-dinner drinks with a good cigar. The Gentleman's Room can be reserved for private-dinning from 8 till 11 guests. Groups are also welcome.

What a gem! If you are looking for Michelin star quality food and service in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, and at an affordable price, Brasserie Suisse is your place. Delicious and memorable.

If you're looking for excellent food at a reasonable price, Brasserie Suisse is your place.
The service is excellent (otherworldly by Dutch standards) and the environment is classy and soothing, yet unpretentious.
Unlike other Amsterdam restaurants I have visited in this price range, they pay a lot of attention to important details, like fresh produce cooked to perfection and home made mayonnaise.
Highly recommended!

This place was the bomb!!! If and when you go to Amsterdam, you have to check this place out. They have a theme song you must ask them to play. It goes great with the foode. And of course the food, it is out of this world!! I loved almost everything I could eat. I don't eat meat but the fish and veggie dishes were superb. Please go check them out and what I mean by that is Weruscha and Richard. Their the best man!!!! |
